Midnight Snack – Tortillos and Dip
I’ve been wanting to try this for the longest time, ever since I saw it on a shelf in Robinson’s BF.
My older sister bought this the last time we went grocery shopping and I was so happy when I saw it on the cart (I imagine I looked pretty weird doing a happy dance while the Robinson’s Supermarket Jingle was blasting from the store’s speakers) with two big bags of Tortillos beside it. Milk and dairy products are some of my favorite things in the world, so whenever I see something milky or creamy, I have a go at it. Even the recipes I know have milk in the ingredients. Thank God I’m not lactose-intolerant.
Later that night, I heard my sister open a bag of chips and I immediately stopped whatever I was doing and went to the kitchen just as she was opening the jar.
It was everything I imagined it to taste like – just the right amount of creaminess, a bit sour and salty, with the occasional onion and red bell pepper bits. The leafy, spinach taste complimented the sourness and added to the chunky texture. I LOVED IT.
My third helping. I crushed the chips and added a dollop of the Creamy Spinach dip and VOILA! I couldn’t stop eating.
This one is a nice change from the usually French Onion, Cheddar, and Salsa dips. Try it and let me know what you think (and I hope you like it as much as I do).
